What is parking mode?
When the key is off & the vehicle is parked, the dash cam will put itself into a semi-sleep mode & record in time lapse so it doesn't waste SD card memory, it will only activate & record in real time when motion & shock is detected. If you are parked for a while, the dash cam will switch itself off as it monitors vehicle voltage without running battery flat. When installing a dash cam to an EV (Electric Vehicle), it is important not to interfere with the vehicle's electrical system, but you still want to enable all the standby surveillance functions of your top-end dash cam system.
For standard vehicle, the voltage cut off is set around 12v, however, as EV requires minimum of 12.8v to function safely, the voltage cut off needs to be set at least 13.1v. To achieve this, an add-on battery for dash cam is normally required and get all your features activated without upsetting your vehicle's power monitoring systems.
With GNET G-ON4/Platinum 4, as the voltage cut off can be adjusted to 13.1v, therefore add-on battery pack will not be necessary.
For continuous recording:

The withCLOUD™ is GNET's dash cam cloud service. It provides live streaming, GPS tracking, watching recorded video & geo-fencing. You can save your event footage on the cloud server safely. For more information, please see here
JDR file format is GNET proprietary file recording format & was developed by GNET 14 years ago. The file system has a function to prevent loss of recorded video. For example, AVI file system loses its data when an impact occurs in the middle of recording. If an event is 10 sec and the device stops(or shut down, lost power) recording in the middle of 10 sec, AVI file system loses entire 10 sec record. However, JDR file system records the length from the start to until the event happens. It doesn't loses entire length of data even if recording stops. For more information, please see here
There are 4 ways to get the serial numbers:
1. Off the box
2. Off the unit ( behind where the unit mounts to the windscreen)
3. When you connect your phone by the APP
4. When you remove the SD card and put into a computer it shows in the configuration file
